The Contaminated Well

A village drew water from a well. One day, the water made people sick.

They could keep drawing, hoping the contamination would pass. Instead, they sealed the well immediately.

"But we need water," villagers said.

"We need water that won't kill us." They used the backup well until the first was cleaned.

A poisoned source must be isolated before it poisons everything.
