The Misfiled Documents

A great library received documents from across the kingdom.

Most were catalogued correctly. But some couldn't be filed: illegible labels, unknown authors, subjects that didn't fit any category.

Rather than guess or discard, the library maintained a section for unfiled documents. Scholars could browse it, seeking items that formal cataloguing had missed.

Some of the library's greatest discoveries came from that section.
