The New Measurement

A kingdom adopted a new measurement system — more rational, easier to calculate.

But markets had used the old system for centuries. Weights and scales were calibrated to it.

The decree mandated: all new scales must show both measurements. Old scales may continue until they wear out.

Within twenty years, only new scales remained. The transition completed itself.
