The Scattered Flock

A wolf attacked a flock. The sheep scattered in panic.

By morning, they had regathered. Each sheep had moved toward the scent of other sheep.

The shepherd, searching frantically, found them already reassembled a mile away.

"How did you know to do that?" he asked them.

They didn't know. They just did.
