The Sycophant
A lord surrounded himself with advisors who praised his every decision.
When he made a good decision, they praised it. He repeated it.
When he made a poor decision, they praised it. He repeated it.
Over time, he couldn't tell the difference. He had no signal, only noise.
When his kingdom finally faltered, he asked his advisors what had gone wrong.
They told him nothing had gone wrong. He was doing wonderfully.
