The Wedding Feast

A wedding was planned in a small town. The caterer ordered meat from the butcher, who ordered ice from the icehouse, who ordered delivery from the carter.

The carter's horse went lame.

No delivery. No ice. The meat spoiled. The caterer had nothing to serve. The wedding had no feast.

The father of the bride demanded to know who was responsible.

Everyone pointed to the person before them in the chain. The carter pointed at the horse.
