The Business Partnership

Two merchants wanted to form a partnership. Each had to contribute capital.

They didn't hand over money directly. They deposited with a trusted banker.

First, each confirmed to the banker they were ready. Only after both confirmed did the banker release both deposits to the partnership.

If either withdrew, neither was committed.
