The Feast Kitchen

A palace kitchen could prepare meals for two hundred guests.

The king invited five hundred.

The cooks, overwhelmed, cut corners. Dishes went out half-cooked. Some guests fell ill.

A wiser king later asked his steward: "How many can we serve well?"

"Two hundred."

"Then I will invite two hundred."
