The Forest Fire

A forest burned. Terrible destruction — ash and ruin for miles.

But within the ash, seeds that had waited decades finally germinated. The fire's heat had cracked their shells.

Within five years, new growth covered the burned land. Within fifty, a new forest stood — healthier than the old, which had grown too dense.
