The Hive's Response

A beekeeper opened a hive and found a section of damaged comb.

"Should I repair it?" his apprentice asked.

"Watch."

Within days, the bees had rebuilt the comb — straighter and stronger than before.

"The hive repairs itself. I just make sure nothing prevents it from doing so."
