The Guard's Quick Patrol Check

A guard couldn't remember every restricted area a worker shouldn't enter.

He carried a small chart of access patterns. If a worker's badge matched none of the restricted patterns, they could pass. If it matched, he checked the full authorization list.

Speed came from the chart. Certainty came from the full list.
