The New Currency

A kingdom needed to replace its debased currency with new, pure coins.

The king didn't declare old coins worthless overnight. He simply began minting new coins and accepting both.

Merchants preferred the new coins. Old coins gradually disappeared from circulation. No one was impoverished by sudden change.
