The Recipe Box

A family shared recipes, each adding their own. No one locked the box while cooking.

When someone added a recipe, they checked: was the recipe already there? Had it changed since they started writing?

If unchanged, they added it. If changed, they compared and merged.

The box was always available. Additions were verified.
