Artists worked on a shared mural. None locked sections while working.

Before painting, each artist noted what the section looked like. When finished, they checked: had anyone else painted there?

If unchanged, they added their work. If changed, they had to blend or decide whose vision prevailed.

Optimism enabled parallel work. Checking prevented chaos.
