The Upgraded Bridge

Engineers designed a new bridge — wider, stronger, more modern.

They could demolish the old bridge and build the new. But during construction, no one could cross.

Instead, they built the new bridge alongside the old. Traffic used the old bridge until the new one was ready.

The day the new bridge opened, the old bridge closed. No one missed a crossing.
